Andrea Sgoifo is Associate Professor of Physiology at the University of Parma. Prof. Sgoifo received his PhD in Cardiovascular Pathophysiology at the State University of Milano in 1994, followed by a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Groningen (NL) from 1996 to 1998. He joined the faculty at the University of Parma as an Assistant Professor in 1998.

His research is focused on the autonomic neural, neuroendocrine, and behavioral substrates of psychological/cardiovascular comorbidity in animal and humans.
